On 19th July 2023, I ran a discussion group aimed at understanding more about the patient experience of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
I visited the Royal London Hospital for a taster week in the Trauma and Orthopaedics department and this is a summary of my experience there. This department is famous for its excellent trauma care, research and exceptional training.
I believe ‘trust’ is the biggest factor in healthcare research and addressing this dynamically will resolve many of the problems of participant recruitment and engagement. Workshops are a great way to do just that.
The Festival of Communities is an annual event that celebrates everything that makes East London a fantastic place to live and work. It brings together hands-on demonstrations of local research and services, loads of fun family activities, food stalls, and games, to create two-days of fun for all ages and interests!

Bone & Joint Health are a new clinical academic group based at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London & Barts Health NHS Trust. Our purpose is to transform research, education and care for people with bone & joint disorders and injuries.
